Hello Summer!

It has been way too long, but the good news is we survived the crazy-busy spring!! And as luck would have it, I made a decision that has already improved my life greatly. I bought a cookie projector!!!! I am SO EXCITED and I feel SO HIGH TECH!! The fact that we mounted it using a poster tube, shish-kabob skewer, and a clamp thanks to inspiration from Sweet Hope Cookies, is SO NOT high-tech, but it worked!! I cannot get over how cool and tiny this little projector is!

I had a request for some Texas A&M/Animal Science themed cookies, so I used my super awesome projector to get them done. I know that I will get better with practice, and I hope to use the projector to pipe actual words at some point, but for now, I think these are a good first attempt.

Vet School Graduation

This was an order for cupcakes and cookies....per the usual, my photography skills are subpar, but colors were maroon and white, and the "scrub-green" turned out just like the real thing.

Bridal Shower + Tarleton Auction Cookies

This was my biggest order to date. Ten dozen cookies and four dozen cupcakes on top of a crazy work week, puppy class Tuesday, a banquet Wednesday, and I don't even remember what else happened. I didn't even have my sous chef, but somehow, I got it done.

Also, have I mentioned lately how much I dislike the bagging and tying process? And after this: 

I'm done. At least with the tying and cutting part. I am buying a bag sealer very, very soon. With a cutter. That means, all I have to do is put the cookies in the bag. Poof. Magic. Bagged, sealed cookies.  Thank you technology.  This does mean however that bagged and sealed cookies will be cheaper than bagged cookies with a ribbon.  Just FYI on that one.
