I sure hope I am not the only one failing to multitask in preparing for Christmas this year. At some point I realized everything was packaged and I had not taken pictures (packaging = glare). As an added bonus, when you don't have a fancy photo set-up, late nights and bad weather mean you cannot get good lighting for pictures.
All of this to say, the trees were some of my favorites this year, and I have a very limited number pictures.
This year I did a turkey cookie platter inspired by Jill at Funky Cookie Studio (see the platter here). She is far more talented, and has an airbrush, so I present to you......the amateur version:
These may be the first cookies made and documented in 2017 .... *gasp* ... sadly, I feel like they are appearing much darker here than they are in real life — but, at least you get the idea.
It has been a while since I have actually made any cookies, but in looking through old photos, I found several that never got posted, so I thought I would do that now — if for no other reason than to prove this blog is not totally dormant....

Here are a few photos from our cookie party. Too many cookies had been eaten when I realized I came up short on finished cookie photos...so sadly we do not have much evidence that this was a success.
